National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) (UG):
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) is an entrance examination in India for students who wish to study undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses (MBBS, MD, MS) and dental courses (BDS, MDS) in government or private medical colleges and dental colleges in India. The undergraduate NEET (UG), for MBBS and BDS courses, is currently conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), which provides the results to the Directorate General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. NEET-UG replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individual MBBS exams conducted by states or colleges themselves in 2013. However, many colleges and institutes had taken a stay order and conducted private examinations for admission to their MBBS and BDS courses. NEET-UG is a single entrance test for admissions to more than 66,000 MBBS and BDS seats across India.
In order to be eligible for the examination, candidates must qualify 12th class examination with Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English subjects. For General category candidates, it is mandatory to score 50% marks in 12th grade, whereas SC/ST/OBC category candidates must score 40% marks to become eligible for NEET 2021.

The upper age limit for Reserved Category and PwD is 30 years.
Every year, NEET is conducted in the month of May, and result is declared around one month later. Applicants have to register themselves in the month of December.

4 marks are awarded for every correct response and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect response.
A student should have a target of scoring at least 500 marks in his mind.
